This workbook focuses on vowel combinations in the following order: ee, ai, ea, oo, oa. You can print the whole book or individual units, but the reading sections are building throughout the book, using phonics rules and vowel digraphs from the previous section. There are 8 pages of worksheets for each vowel combination. There are long vowel sound vs. short vowel sound exercises, phonics skills builders, spelling activities, three pages of reading exercises, and a free writing activity. Book 4 moves students from phonics, rule-based exercises to more reading and writing activities. This workbook provides more chance for students to read and practice their new phonics skills. The readings are designed to be hort at first and gradually become longer. They also only use vocabulary within the phonics rules students have studied so far. The readings will build on and recycle vocabulary from previous sections within the book. So, if you are using the materials in a different order than presented, this may cause some students a little difficulty. However, these worksheets will work great as individual sections if you just need additional practice for a specific digraph.

Make additional worksheets, activities, and exercises with vowel digraphs and dipthongs.
