The text in the PDF is not rendering correctly: below is an explanation for this, but to get around it, you will need to download the PDF and open it from the file on your computer. You can right click on the book PDF link and choose save file. If you open the PDF file and it's still imporperly rendered, there should be a save icon at the top right. You can save the file that way as well.
- The web is changing and most web browsers are moving away from Adobe Acrobat Reader to render PDF files on the Web. Each browser is coming up with their own PDF rendering options and therefore the PDFs may look different browser to browser and even different in the same browser on different devices. I'm working on solutions and hopefully in the future, I'll have a way to provide beautiful books, rendered fast and ready to print. But for now, the bove 2 options should work for you.
Printing Problems with the Worksheet Makers: the worksheet makers generate a worksheets in an html page. So, you will print the page, just like you would print any page off the Internet. For most mobile devicees there is a tools menu at the top right of thebrowser with print options. On a PC or Mac, you will need to access the browser's tools menu (usually at the top right) to print the page. If you are unsure about how to do this, you can do a quick web search for 'how to print a page in Chrome,' for example.
With the 2018 update, I added a print menu that should appear above the worksheets for people accessing the site with a computer. You can use that or close that menu if you don't want to use it. (Unfortunately, mobile browsers are tricky and the print menu works on some but not on others. Until I can find a solution, I have decided to turn the 'print menu' off for mobile devices.)
The 2018 Update: I updated the site to make it mobile responsive and hopefully more useful. I updated the worksheet makers with a new print menu and hopefully fixed some small issues with alignment of text in different browsers. I also added 2 new worksheet templates: spaghetti string matching worksheets and a free writing template.
The text appears strange in the Worksheet Makers: I have worked hard to get this right across browsers and across devices. With the 2018 update, I believe I have solved this problem. However, if you still have text rendering issues or alignment issues, please send me a message. I will need to know what device and what web browser you are using. It's also helpful if you can tell me with which maker you were having the problem.
