Spaghetti String Worksheets: Students will read a word or a sentence and match the reading to one of the pictures. There are two versions, one has just text to read and the other has text students can trace to practice writing.

There are several ways you can use these worksheet template:

The basic concept: Write a word or sentence(s) for students to read. They then connect the reading to the matching picture.

Other ideas: You can jumble the spelling and students will unscramble the word. This is better if you are making reading worksheets for second grade or older students.

Other ideas: You can write a sentence or two but leave an underbar, '___' instead of the actual word that you want them to match. 'bat' for example, 'You hit a ball with a _____.' So, students have to read, think about the meaning, connect the sentence, and write the word on the line.

Other ideas: You can choose incorrect pictures for 1-2 options. Tell students that not all of the vocabulary/readings match an image. This means students have to think a bit more.

Other ideas: Use this as a spelling test template - Use the tracing version and leave the text fields empty and let the students write the words themselves and connect them.

You can leave the 2nd option blank and just use two words per image. That will make the worksheet easier if you are making spelling worksheets for first grade or kindergarten.
